A big thank you to TJ for checking out and shipping a beautiful Fender Jazz bass for a friend of mine. It was listed on eBay and Jim got a BIN from the seller in Ft. Myers then dropped it off at a UPS store. It's nice to have friends that are so helpful.

Things like this alone make membership here the warm place it is.

Throw in the gatherings and humour (there's humour?) and we're a truly special bunch.

You're very welcome!! What Jack didn't tell you is that I was considering keeping it after I saw it. It is in new condition with all the case candy and an extra set of strings. Just a beautiful instrument!! I have a hard enough time with a longneck 6 string fret spacing, and a bass is just too much for me, so off it went. It was just like normal, buy, sell, ship, only this one didn't even make it to the house! :D

You can't blame this one on Jim. I found it and asked him to check it out.

The pictures don't begin to do this thing justice. Between the color and the sculpting of the curves and the placement of bridge, pickups, etc... this is one seductive looking beast. Very low action and no buzz, all the way to the top.

My brother-in-law has a beautiful fretless Fender Jazz bass in sunburst for sale if you're interested. Actually he has around 6 different fretless basses for sale. If you are interested I can get you the info when I get back from vacation.

My friend said the fretless are more difficult when you are first learning but there's no real difference after that. My brother-in-law played in a jazz band so maybe that had some influence on his preference for fretless.
