Good evening, all! I am very close to buying my second Ovation in six months! I can get a very good deal on an Ovation C2079LX. Does anyone out there have one? How do ou like it? This one is black, and a beauty!!! The Ovation I have now is a Baladeer K1111 Reissue... I am very happy with it! Have a great evening.

Hey Jimmie ... I don't own one but if I was going to buy a new Ovation this one just might be at the top of my list. I do have a CL12, and it is nothing short of spectacular, both in sound and looks. I really, really like the contour bowl and do not think I will buy any more Ovations without it ... but there are others who feel just the opposite. I do have a K1111 RI like you, and you'll find the 2079 feel a lot different. But the sound will be very sweet. If you like it and it speaks to you, go for it. Now is a great time to be buying guitars.

I have one,it's black and has just enough bling to be striking under stage lights.

The extra depth of the contour bowl does take some getting used to. The guitar tends to have a bit more muscle in the low end and more complexity in it's tone - a less sterile sound than I've come to associate with Ovies, a bit more Martinesque.

Mine has the Op-Pro Studio. Many consider it the gold standard of pre-amps, but I long for the Optima I have on my 1869.

As with all Ovations, the C2079LX represents a serious value in terms of how much you get for your money.
