Just me again.

Just going through some stuff here and came across a circuit board marked 1-0500-007 with a large "B" under that. It has 2 pots and 2 toggles. One of the toggles is snapped off and the other has been clipped off. I do have identical replacement parts from Ovation.

Am I correct in remembering it came from a Breadwinner?

Hey MWoody,
It's more rectangularish 3"x3" 4"x4 1/2" with rounded corners and an inch notch on the bottom.

I'll check when I get home, but I'm pretty sure it's the early Breadwinner pre-amp when the jack was on the edge of the guitar not the pickguard.

I also have a body that they'll fit.
Is the unit for sale?

I'd be interested if it is, the one in my early Deacon is NFG.

I also got these early breadwinner pickups along with the pre-amp.

Intended for a "pipe-dream" project.

By 'mounting plates' do you mean 'surrounds'?

AJ,

This is how they came.
Never saw Breadwinner pickups out of a guitar, so I never noticed they weren't there.
Looked at some pictures and I get a general idea of what you're talking about.

How do they attach to the pickup?

Are they brass?

Originally the plate was attached to the pickup with some sort of double-sided sticky foam piece. Nice thought, but I'm not sure I've seen one in recent years that stayed in tact. I don't think they thought about the guitars still being popular 40 years later.
