Anyone use one??
Does it protect enough??
I'm thinking of hitting Boston & NYC
open mics and was thinking carring the guitar on my back might be better than carring a case in hand.
Any thoughts??

I have something similar for my banjo. They give decent protection, especially from temperature extremes, but if the zipper lets go you have a problem I have seen older ones with broken zippers, and they still close with the velcro habdle, but they are now useless as far as really protecting the guitar.

I think what I would do is buy one of those light weight folding luggage carts and some bungie cords. I have used those before and they are great.

I've seen some bad reviews about thoughs bags. I've also been looking for a decent gigbag to fit deep bowl Ovations at a decent price with NO luck!

I looked at those and really liked the way they looked and felt, but I didn't feel good about the zippers.

A week ago I bought the 8158 molded hard shell case for $25 more instead.

Hey, is this is my first post? I have been reading so long, I forgot.

Thanks. Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the case thread.

...but I don't think I will wait 10 more months for the next post(s).

Welcome Cuz!

As far as cases go, hardness counts.

Would I'm looking for is a way other than a handle to carry a case a good distance. 10 city or more.
I understand a hardshell is the best protection.
I'm looking for a compromise.

Is there harness that can go on a hardshell
to carry it as a backpack??

Jeff W had an add-on for a strap-to-OHSC a while back.

Keep checking Garage sales for one of those Jogger Baby Stroller things and you could pack a small Amp and pedals as well.

Call it your "Baby-Boomer"

Any custom leather-bondage shop should be able to make something for you. As a bonus, it'll look darn sexy too!
