Our second performance took place here in the grand Stephansdom (St. Stephens Cathedral, the mother church of the Archdiocese in Vienna and the seat of the Archbishop in Vienna) accompanied by the Pardubice National Orchestra from the Czech Rebublic. Some folks believe that our loud notes from two weeks ago can still be heard ringing in its marble rafters. While venues like this are incredible to view, they present difficult acoustic issues for performers.

Brad, I've been in St. Stephens: it is awesome...Violetta lived in Vienna for two years in the late 90's and we walked around Vienna several times: this is one incredible cathedral and an incerdible city...I highly recomend visiting there if possible!

Brad are they still working on the exterior? I've been told it's a never ending job...

They were still working on the exterior when I was there in April. I think the same guy was sitting in the same spot shown in Brad's picture, too.

Yep, they're still working on parts of the exterior. It doesn't look like cleaning, but rather, some major tuck-pointing!

It is very beautiful; thanks for sharing it with us, because I don't think I'll ever get there in person...but I'm awfully glad I'm not the one who has to dust it. ;)

Simply beautiful. We recorded in a grand chapel in Chicago last spring. I know the feeling!

You might appreciate this performance by Jan Garbarek (Norwegian saxophonist).
