I like this guy's attitude. He's had this 1767 Legend up on ebay twice at $550 and it didn't sell (don't think it got any bids. Now he's put it back up and bumped the price up to $575.

The sad thing is that this guitar is worth every penny of what he's asking and then some. It easily slices and dices with guitars in thhe $2000-$2500 range and is an absolute steal. I'm amazed that nobody on the board has bought it....

My 1767-1 IS my FAVORITE guitar now and compared to the many I have owned over the 8 years I've been playing. The guy I've been playing with who plays a $2500.00 Gibson can't believe how good my 1767 sounds!

Actually it is $10 cheaper. He had $35 shipping on the $550 now the shipping is free for $575. Sadly he could probably sell it quickly if he listed it for $475 with $100 shipping. That seems to be the way things go on the bay.

You are correct on the value, it is a great buy, a steal really.

A 1617 is a great guitar ( I have one ) , sweet and harmonious , it`s a perfect mate for songwriter / recording..

About that 1767 ( nice looking git. ) but , just by looking at the pictures those blotches next to the opening made me feel uncomfortable , they`re probably discolorations only , yet , it makes me feel like reaching for the sander , if I had that git. it would drive me nuts.

Not knocking the 1617 at all, I had my eye on that auction but the last few have sold for no where near that price. Although this one was an A braced and I dont think the others were. The add for the 1617 had horrible photos but it did have a 7 day guarentee. I have bottom feeder mentality unfortunatly.

You thought that was X-pensive,.. I should move to USA :)
Over here that was n`t much , certainly when it`s in very good condition..

This is a terrible time to sell a gutiar on eBay. I've seen quite a few quality guitars sell for 2/3 of their value. Good time to buy though. I did. :)

This seller should wait to relist if it doesn't sell. I think prices will be more reflective of actual value in November.

There's a huge difference in the earlier 1617s vs the later ones. I've owned both. The later ones were A-braced which in my opinion is a much better sounding guitar over the older VT-11 bracing.

I think they went to A-bracing when they went to the Kaman bar (truss rod). I may very well be wrong though, it could have happened earlier.
