I have been thinking of getting a good little amp to play on from time to time. I keep hearing good things about the Roland AC-60 amp. Is there any others that sound this good for a better price? I was thinking around $100 maybe for an amp..

Thanks,
-Nate

I have little experience other that what I have tried and I found the fender acoustasonic amps produce a wonderful acoustic sound (no effects). They are more than $100 but I have seen several of the Acoustasonic 30s in the $200 range on CL.

Nate,
I think it may be hard to find a "good" acoustic apm for #100.00. Due a search (under post a poll button)as this topic has been talked about quite often. If that doesn't help you try Craigslist. a ton of quality gear going cheap due to the economic situation.

See if you can find an Epiphone Regent. I have a 30 watt one and it's decent, no frills and sounds good. It was only $120 new, so you should be able to find a used one for $100.

Thanks, I'll look at those Fender Acoustasonics and the Epiphone Regent.

Maybe there are some good little gems in some of the local pawn shops..

Nate, I didn't look this ad over too well, but here is a Fender Acoustasonic for $100.00, plus $40.00 in shipping:

I have had great success with crate acoustic amps, the CA15 cimarron. Maybe a little more than want you want to spend, but a great amp. I have seen them on sale for around $110-$120, but the regular price is $150. Many good amps in that price range($150).

In your price range, a Fender Acoustasonic or Crate CA15 (both on sale) would fit the bill.

$100? You might want to look at a keyboard amp or a PA or self powered monitor.
