Location: Tidal Mudflats of Virginia | Just wanted to bring this up for those that aren't aware of Matt's Chop Shop lessons at WorkshopLive.
I was hesitant to get involved in a month service but while poking around, I found a link at the bottom of the main page where you can purchase the particular lessons outright. So I'm thinking, they must mail them on a disk or something. Nope, you get access direct online to the lesson you purchase. So I dig some more and find Matt's Chop Shop 1 & 2 Lessons. These relate DIRECTLY out of the Chop Shop book that many of us purchased last week from Matt (you can also purchase it with PayPal directly from Matt's website).
So I start going through the lessons, it's like putting last week into slow gear and allowing time to practice every item we covered in Amelia.
WOW!!!WOW!!!WOW!!!WOW..can you tell I'm excited!!!
Anyways, the two lessons cost $49.90 and I'm telling you, it's the best money you can spend for lessons of this quality.
Well, back to Travis Picking in Open D Tuning :D

Location: Tidal Mudflats of Virginia | Well, I finished my initial run through both Chop Shop 1 & Chop Shop 2 at a slightly slower pace than last week :) Nice thing is I can keep going back and reviewing each lesson till I have it down pat.
These each contain 10 lessons and they covered everything in the book and the Amelia Clinic minus the songwriting class.
Worth way more than cost of taking the kids to a movie.

Location: Simpsonville, SC | Thanks for reminding me of this Tim. After Guitar Di Gras, I felt the strong need for some structured lessons and was going to go to a local teacher. I looked at, and joined, WS Live for three months as a cheaper, and at my pitiful skill level, better method of ramping up some.
There are plenty of lessons at ALL levels and it is a very clear method for learning. Maybe I will even know a few more chords by the SS II Jam. Once I reach a better level of skills, I may seek out a local teacher for a specific style or type of music.
