Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | I just got me a Plain Ol' Balladeer, not Custom. And beside being very dusty I am intrigued by the serial number... I have owned 35 or 40 Ovations and Celebrity's, and one Adamas.
I have never seen, in person, a serial number that actually said "SN" on it, until now.
Any edjukating things about this that someone can share with me?
The guitar is kinda dusty and I think that it spend a Long time up on a mantle.
At least that was where it was when it was photographed for the listing.
But the woman packed it well... It came with the blanket and two pillows that are in the photo.
Skinny Rosette, really thin neck, and no plug-in. No case. But she sent me a stand too. How nice! :D
I'm gonna clean and oil this thing. I just wanted to share. (brag) |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | Here's my Review: Okay... I had never played a 1111 until now. (The K-1111 ain't the same)
This is a 1995 model. It has a really thin, comfortable neck profile. And it sounds real nice.
This thing is in really good condition. (almost makes me feel guilty)
Once I got it clean I did manage to find one or two imperfections, but none worth mentioning.
I am very pleased. :D
When I got this it was so dry that the rosewood fretboard looked like maple, before I oiled it.
(contrary to the Ovation Archive, which sez Ebony)
I am just so pleased that even with that dryness there were not finish cracks.
I am Happy with this. :D (You may have surmised that) |
