Randy,

If you took that shot, publish it! Volcanoes are just so overwhelming; inner earth with some major indigestion.

Ol' Mom Nature's power is beyond comprehension. We are so insignificant, except for our Spirit!

That's why I cherish the seas and the 'heavens'...

thanks, iffy. that photo is already published today to mark the 126th anniversary of krakatoa's earth-shattering explosion. i read it also altered the temperature of the earth, lowering it a few degrees for 5 years afterwards.

Randy,

I don't mean to here, but that's one of the most impressive photos I've seen!

A cataclysmic event in the back ground, with the serenity of a boat on a calm sea and the weathered foreground that has seen it all before! Beyond brilliant...

If this is indeed happening, it's a bit unnerving as I have recently seen a documentary on I beleive the history channel, about Krakatoa and it's effect on the entire world's climate.

Hey, we all have to vent once in a while! It's a good thing, holding it in can be dangerous.

Krakatoa and the region around this Ring of Fire in Indonesia is fascinating. It is a place where tectonic plates collide and has caused major upheavals throughout the history of the earth.

If you ever get a chance read Simon Winchester’s Krakatoa (The Day the World Exploded)
