This has been discussed at lenght over on the Collings site.
The Tone Rite is a vibrating device that simulates years of playing, read makes your guitar sound much better. There are always these kind of claims from time to time but this is spozed to really work well and quickly. A friend from the Collings site told me that he doubted, he tried and now he believes. So I got one and am checking it out.

G8R, you might want to look this guy up, he's in Gainsville

Jack Daniels can have the same effect...
Let us know how it goes.

I remember tying my old Gibson J-50 to my JBL L100 speaker with towels and playing Led Zeppelin songs through it. Might have helped. My parents weren't too happy about hearing Led Zeppelin coming from my room constantly.

If it works, 150 bucks would be a bargain. Money back guarantee with return shipping paid too. Beal, keep us updated on this, it could be something I'd be interested in for sure.

It works.
Beal has most likely seen my reports on the Collings thread. I have tried it on about 8 guitars including several Adamas (my twin 2080Ds and my 47RI) and the level of improvement on all guitars has been remarkable.

Regardless of whether they are all wood or all space age miracles, the ToneRite just makes them sound like they have been played in for years and years and the sound is fatter, clearer, smoother, etc...etc.

BEST $150 I HAVE EVER SPENT on guitar spoo.

OK, I'll give it a try. Is there a best place to buy one, or just go directly off their website?

Just checked in - I'll be happy to pick up any and take them to SJ/SSJ. I'm pretty sure, 'tho, that by picking them up in person - as opposed to shipping out of state - that they'll be subject to state/local sales tax (7%). Maybe if there are enough of them bought at one time we can negotiate a price break. I'll be away for the next week, but anyone who wants one EM/PM me so I can get a count.

yes, instate you'll have sales tax. I had mine sent to the mountain so I avoided it.
It was a little less than $10 for shipping USPS.

Back in the day we'd strap our new D-28s to a stereo speaker and play loud music through it for a few days. Worked.

IIRC, this did not apply to cedar tops. I imagine this holds true for this gizmo as well.

My only real problem with this new device - I didn't think of it. Damn!

So sales tax would be $10.43 - it's a wash, unless we can get a volume discount.

Hang 'em all up on the wall, crank up 1400 watts of amp pointed straight at 'em, and play like hell all night long for the next nine years. They say the guitars all sound great. I wouldn't know. I can't hear a thing.

Well, it sounds to me like there's no reason to ever buy an Elite or an Adamis (or Martin, Collings, etc) in the future. Just buy a Celebrity, strap on a Tonerite, and get the same high-end sound.

So the next thing is that you have to put the guitar in a tanning bed to get the darkened UV exposure to the top while it is getting tonerited.
Or you can just leave it in TJ's back yard for a while.

I wonder if this would make my 37 year old Pacemaker sound any better?
