Check it out here : quadruped I'm still on a steep learning curve when it comes to actually recording the guitar, this is with two mics into a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra USB interface into laptop. Yes it would sound better recorded in a studio but that's sadly not an option.

My apprecation of pro guitarists/studio engineers has gone up from one of respect/acknowledgement to admiration/adoration. I'm on a steep learning curve but making good progress. My problem is high standards/expectations. Still I have CETAINLY improved as a musician/guitarist in the last week because of the CD project that's for sure.

You can pre-order in the sense that I'll add your name to my little green book ;) Don't worry I'll be posting here when it's done, that's for sure :) That last post was a sample recording. I have now actually recorded the first track for the album - you can hear it here It's Harp Strings again but recorded on my Ovation 1763. For those interested it was recorded in my kitchen with an AKG C1000s and Rode NT1A mics into a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra then direct into laptop runnning Cubase LE 4. A touch of compression, a smattering of reverb. I'm pretty happy with the quality and as I'm a total novice when it comes to recording I think it's good enough for the project in hand (i.e. actually record an albums worth of stuff). I'm finding the best way to learn is to JUST DO IT! By the end I will be in a much better place knowledge/skill wise for the 2nd album (already got the tunes and name!) Yeah it could be better in a studio with an engineer but I've spent all my money on guitars ;)
