Maybe some friends in here may be interested to learn about this price which seems higher than the ones paid in the USA according to what I found out here in the OFC. If the happy owner is one of us in here, congratulations! Still I am sad enough because I wasn´t able to get it. This was my first attempt at an auction on evilbay and it was just too much for my nerves... Regards to all of you, Chris.

I feel extremly happy that I made it even though it got way more expensive than I was actually hoping. I still feel lucky.. my final bid was going to be 1000, but then I decided to go up to 1500 Euro because I really really wanted this guitar. And that was my luck, because in the last seconds someone put 1200 on it ;) Now of course I can't wait to have it here... As soon as I hold it in my hands I will let you all know if it was worth all the stress xD oh yeah... and sorry to you Chris...

A little while ago I had a nice emailchat with Dave Wittko (who is probably also in this forum). That was actually how I started to get more into the ovation-thing again which I had forgotten about the last years (don't ask me why - no idea).. Then I started reading in the OFC and pretty soon I stumbled over the FD14 and then... it was on ebay and I knew I needed it. The rest is history ^^

Not really far away from Hanau. So this guitar went to the region I stem from... another reason to feel glad for you :)

Is it extremly high? I didn't really expect it to go over 1000 Euro, even though I was willing to pay more to own it. Seeing the rather small Dollars paid for a FD14 in the USA I wonder if German prices are really that much different. I found out that the FD14 did cost about 2.600 Euros in Germany when it came out in 2003, so about half of that for a used one doesn't seem to be that expensive, but still... ;) However it probably was a one-time-only-chance and I am certainly happy (very happy) that I made it... Regards Meuti

The market in europe is down as well, but some guitars still hold their value - even if they are still 'underpriced'. The FD14 is one of them, Adamas I models (especially wide necks), followed by the other texture tops. Glad it did not go for 445.- Euros. That would be a shame - and to read "I was willing to go up to 445" gives my heart a bad hurt. Best regards, Kurt

The only FD14 I have ever seen or played was the FD14 of our honoured member Charlie Ramon - but as far as I know his guitar went to france. But - if GAS will take over you - I have some nice ones for sell. Just click in my signature and choose... Ah wait, I have some more over there... Well, just ask! Enjoy your guitar, Kurt

I really hope it's as good as I've heard. :) I tried to look at your site but it seems to be down at the moment. Greetings to Munich Meuti
