Joined: April 2008 Posts: 1851 Location: Newington, CT | This is for a left-handed friend of mine...he wants an Adamas in a big way, but those are seemingly few and far between...This is a guy who has kind of soured on Ovation because of some serious difficulty in obtaining a higher-end lefty Ovation or Adamas. Then I stumbled on the link shown below. The description is a bit sparse and there aren't any bids yet. Given that it's a lefty, my friend might end up being the only one. My friend would like to know whether it's a good value at the $850 the guy is asking for it. Interestingly, the description contains a cryptic reference to its being an Adamas. The auction ends soon; can anyone give my friend an assessment of the value of this one, assuming that it's in good shape? Thanks, everyone! Click Here .

I cant tell you anything about either guitar but I am sure someone here can. The price on both seems high but then again they are goofy handers and harder to come by.

Stereo electronics, hand selected AAA spruce top, black walnut fingerboard, woodbinding around the body and on the heel cap... a really great guitar. Do a search thru the archives and you'll learn about this guitar. After 1984 they cheapened the way and materials used to build this guitar and it became the Elite......

I call him a "wrong-hander" (just kidding for your lefties out there!) and we have some good-natured back-and-forth about it.
