Shhhh. Don't tell Moody, but I was able to surrepticiously take a few pictures with my camera phone of him playing his three chords. Sorry about the poor quality of the pictures but you all know how sensitive he is about his secrets getting out.

I was in SoCal for some business and I took a couple of my guitars by his place yesterday so I could hear them being played by a master.

Here he is playing my Custom Legend 12. This is a super secret F#m ... or at least that's what he told me.

Then ... and this is absolutely amazing ... he played a G chord with his eyes closed! This is something I'm really gonna work on.

Then in a stroke of luck, I caught him playing what he called a D chord. This is being perpetrated on my K-1111 Balladeer reissue. It seemed to like it. And I say a stroke of luck because I was able to snap this picture at the exact moment the nuclear detonation was vaporizing the side of Moody's head.

But I gotta tell you, he did a fourth chord too but I didn't get any pictures of it and I couldn't see his fingers because he turned his back and wouldn't let me look. I'm sure I heard it before in a Beatles song I think. He said it was real complex and was something like Em7/add11. Someday when I get good I'm gonna nail that one.

Very cool, Bob. It's hard to get candid shots of a PI, they're so aware of everything around them. Hope the grill wasn't damaged by the blast.

Maybe we can get Jer to surreptitiously snap a shot of that 4th one when he's practicing it at home.

Moody needs a cutaway about as much as I do, but it was surprising to see him up there in the 5 to 7 fret range.

Wow! There is nothing else to say. Here on the east coast we just watch the grass grow. Amazing pictures of man and guitar.

You missed something, Bobbo!
Right in front of your eyes, he created a mysterious double-secret alternate tuning by inserting his pick between the strings above the nut.

...that would be the nut on the guitar, not the one holding it...

Something interesting I learned from the last Indiana Jones movie... if you get into a refrigerator, a nuclear blast won't hurt you.
