And did one of y'all buy This?
Although this IS the Hardcover Edition! :p

How much did this book cost new?
And if it is worth this much, why has nobody reprinted it?

They're cool books, but $237 is a bit much (altho' it's worth whatever the market will pay).....

Don't you mean George?
Good Luck finding a Hardcover...There was a CHK signed edition for sale several years ago on Amazon for $100...it finally sold and I've kicked myself for not buying it ever since...the soft covers like I have come up occasionally on the bay or elsewhere...
But to answer the question: YES, it is a great book; well written, informative, wonderful pictures and fascinating history...and Beal is prominently figured throughout...he'd probably say that fact devalues it...lol

Walter Carter, who wrote the History book, works with George at Gruhn (and has co-authored a few books with him too).

I am lucky enough to have two copies of the hard cover book ... one's got some scribbling on the inside front cover and the other one's nekkid. I'll trade the nekkid one for one of the guitars on the cover. Almost an even swap these days. ;)

Funny how it seems people will pay more for the book than they would for a lot of the guitars pictured in there.
