Joined: June 2004 Posts: 375 Location: Rocky River, Ohio | I'm not sure of the technical differences, but to me, phosphor sound initially brighter. 80/20, at least from John Pearse, to me last longer, but sound warmer, less shrill. Some of my guitars sound too bright with phosphor stings. As far as 12 strings, i usually use coated strings just to prolong having to change them, and they seem to stay fresh longer, since my 12's aren't played as often. | ||

I wish they made a 12 string set based on the XLS590 jazz light. | ||
