Allison -the get the "°" symbol hold the alt key down and type 0176 and magically the ° symbol appears. |

try it again... it's after you finish typing and release the alt key the ° appears.
Hold the alt key down and type 0176 and release the alt key. |

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | I looked it up, and you have to use the number grid on the side of your keyboard for that to work. I don't have one of those. I guess I would have to cut and paste to get it, and it just isn't that important. The * works well enough, or I could just type the word degree, or diminished. Thanks though. |

AHA! So that's what it is. I wrote a blues song about 20 years ago with that in it ... never knew what it was. I just found it when I was noodling around. Heck, I don't know what half the chords are in that song, but what the hell, it sounds good and it works. In the key of G7 no less.
