Location: Parrish, FL | My wife and I saw Joe Bonamassa on the 6th and I have to say the show was spectacular! One of the tightest bands I have ever seen. They played for nearly 2 hours going full out for a majority of the time. There were a couple of tunes where Bonamassa played by himself while the rest of the band took a break. His solo work was fantastic. Backed by a drummer (phenomenal comes to mind), bass (steady, solid, and creative) and keyboard w/ leslie, the show rocked.
The light show was icing on the cake with tight LED lighting changing colors and blanketing the crowd with spectacular effects. All in all a great evening and highly recommended to all.
Bonamassa began playing professionally when he was about 12, playing with BB King and others. He opened for BB Kings 80th Birthday concert. His music is very blues based but fall towards early 70 rock at times. Lots of energy.
Checking his tour schedule he is currently in Europe (France) returning to the States in March in the PNW then down to Phoenix and Texas.
Keep and eye out and make plans to attend. In the meantime, add him to your Pandora playlist.

Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | I have listened to his work for years but have never seen him live. While I am a big fan and really like his earlier stuff, I tend to think the newer music is a bit boring.
Glad the live show was excellent. The man has some serious talent. |

Location: Bluffton, SC | I remember seeing him play a lunchtime concert here in Syr when he was probably 9 years old or so and he was spectacular then. Even then he had a little stage presence making jokes about skipping school so he could play. Haven't seen him in years but you guys are right - the guy has real chops. |

It's that hard edged rock and roll version of the blues, with a big fat sound, kind of like all those seventies British bands who played blues songs. The guy has chops and soul. It's not for blues purists, but it's a lot of fun to listen to. |
