1597 SMT or W597 CVT?

given the choice... both in mint condition and priced the same, which would you buy? and why?

it would help if responders have actually played both, plugged and unplugged.

I had a black W597 and a 1597 and kept the 1597.
1597 sounded better in both modes. I was unimpressed by the W, but:

The Millennium (which is basically a tarted-up W597?) sounds better than the 1597. Go figger.

Thanks Dawg. I am completely happy with my 1597, then when I saw yours, which is in better shape, I started look around at that price point. I'll be up for a week (Black Cat Island in Center Harbor) in August. I have a friend with a place there. We should get some bowls together for a BBQ.

ok ok... anyone else enjoyed both these guitars?
