OK, I need some reccomendations. I have a friend who wants an Adamas. He wants the carved peghead and bridge, a cutaway, a wide neck, OP50 electronics, and he wants it in black. I have never seen that combination. Short of having one custom made, what do you reccomend?

To my knowledge 1589-5 never existed.

By the 08 Collector. It's a better guitar in almost every way.

Yeah, that '08 is what got him started. Then he had to go and ask for the carved headstock. Do you know if the OP50 would fit in the can on that one? He may have to "settle" for one without the broccoli.

Why compromise? Refer him to Al and see how dreams can become reality.

The OP 50 has the Tuner, the EQ, The Notch Filter and a very good sound.
Of all the OP numbered series it is the better. Whether or not you like the Optima, OP Pro (studio or Std) or VIP is personal choice.

And the Professor is correct as usual.

It's a matter of money. I would LOVE to have him get a custom built Adamas, but he can't afford one right now. The guy is such a great guitarist, I wish I could afford to just buy him one. Everyone who comes to the gathering this summer will get to meet him. And as much as you'll all be jealous that I get to live here in the "center of the universe" (what the Lakota call the southern Black Hills), you'll be even more jealous that I get to play guitar with this guy every day. (Yep, he's that good!)

Have him get the 08. I've got an OP 40 that I'll sell for $125 that he can put in it....
