I know many folks prefer the hand-rubbed urethane necks, but I can't help it. I much prefer the looks and feel of the gloss finish. Got my Bubinga Custom Elite back from the factory today, and just look at the difference! Living this close to New Hartford might just land me in some sort of instrumental 12-step program if I'm not careful. Here's a quick before and after.... ![]() And here are some other photos taken this fair evening..... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I got some for one of my guitars are they are incredible. You will not be sorry.

I paid less than I would have been willing to put down for a used 99C though. The Ovation Bubingas may be panel-masters, but I really like the sound of them. The tone is, for lack of a better description, more "firm" than the solid tops. As others have said, just another flavor of ice cream. (Which brings on the thought that if I keep this up, I'm gonna have to change my moniker to Baskin Robbins. )

Definitely adds some "oomph" tone-wise. (And I LIKED the tone of the 99C.) :cool:I said it before, it looks like the 99c but with more bling. Was it more expensive new than the 99c?
