Joined: December 2009 Posts: 1 | I am in the process of refurbishing a Model 5, early Balladeer 12-string with the small soundhole. The rosette disintegrated and I've had little luck trying to find a replacement. Customer Service at Ovation doesn't appear to stock anything for the really old guitars and a new one won't fit. Does anyone out there have a source? I'd appreciate any and all suggestions.....

It won't be perectly flush like the original, but will look darn good. Like this one ... ![]()

Anyway, how do you order from the factory. I have tried several times to get my local shop to order parts for me and it never works out. Any ideas?

Joined: April 2003 Posts: 608 Location: Caribou, ME | I just took in a Matrix with a big chip out of the rosette. I mean an inch or so is gone. If anyone has a rosette for one (or ANY intact rosette; I'll make it work!) or even a broken matrix rosette, please contact me. I'll graft a piece in if I have to... ![]()
