Again, many thanks to Mark in Boise for sending me this wonderful guitar!

I have thought that Ovations should be up on pedestals (this one just happens to be part of a bird bath):

The famous stencil:

Last, but not least, the Patriot and the 02 Collectors, which I have nicknamed "Jim and Maury". The Patriot is actually older than the green carpet (photo actually came out dark, so I tried to lighten it up a bit)!

Michelle,

Of the gits I've adopted, I was the most stoked upon receiving my 'Pat' #59! (Thanx Miles!)

Hopefully Mark left some of his mojo in yours.

Will miss ya 'out yonder'...

Congrats!

Thanks guys!

Johnny, Mark told me that the guitar came pre-loaded with Jim Croce and Cat Stevens songs. I just have to figure out how to get those songs out of this guitar! :)

I will miss going to the gathering, though.

I'm happy it arrived safely, Michelle. Someday I'll show you how to play all those Croce songs. I never made it past the sound check when I tried to video them. I really wanted to record "New York's Not My Home" to send with it to New York, but it just wasn't meant to be.
Also, thanks for supporting Friends of the Orphans.

Guitarzannie, this Patriot used to belong to me before Mark kindly took it off me about a year ago. I could not have been happier to sell the Patriot too such a nice person like Mark and now it seems to have gone to an equally nice person with a high calling. Congrats and enjoy!

The three of us will have to meet up someday at a gathering and form a "Patriotic" trio!

I am really loving the sound of this guitar.

Congrats! This was the most suprising guitar I played at the Winter Jam for me. I did not expect it to sound so nice. Not just another pretty face.

I understand the Legend Ltd made in 1981 and part of 1982 to be essentially the same guitar sans the decal, and with the exception that it is a bit heavy in the neck, it is a wonderful guitar. I bought mine new in 1981 and it was my one and only guitar for the next 20 years. The Patriot and Legend Ltd (including the RI) may be the only Ovations finished in this nutmeg color. Nice guitars, Michelle.

Thanks! The funny thing is that when I picked up the Patriot, I thought it seemed lighter than the Collectors. I guess it is because the Patriot doesn't have the can like the Collectors does.

My goal is to have at least four guitars, so that I could give them away to my two nieces and two nephews. Well, that is my story anyway and I'm sticking to it.

Someone asked me why I would want another Ovation when I already had a really nice Ovation. My answer was that I've wanted a Legend since I though that Maury Muhliesen played one. I just wish I could play one tenth as good as he did. I've wanted a Patriot ever since Patch let me play his last year.

Congrats on finally landing one Michelle. I know you've been after it for a while now. And they are great guitars!

Tony Calman, this is not the one I bought from you, which I still have. Don't know what came over me but I was so 'Patriotic' I ended up buying two but now only have one.

Well, Patch, I owe a lot to you. You got me started on the love of the Patriot last year!

Mike, good to read that you are doing well! You're gonna have to sell a Patriot? Well, who ever gets it is getting a fine guitar.
