Location: New York City | Greetings, I have a shot at buying a 1528 Ultra cutaway for $250.00 in good condition. Is it worth it? I realize that it's not a high-end guitar but within my budget right now. I consider my fellow members to be the experts and I would like their input. Thanks - Phil |

There is one for sale in this area for $350 including original hard sided case, and I would describe this area as depressed when it comes to used guitar prices.
If it is in good condition and you like the way it sounds, it is hard to go wrong at that price. |

| Phil,
IMHO, Ovation offers a pretty good bang for the buck in almost any price range. You've got a chance to get a good acoustic electric, go for it.
Price is kind of a relative thing anyway. My teacher has a $5,000 custom built guitar that he absolutely hates, but loves his beat up old Ovation.
My 02 Collectors cost me $800. I played low end Martins and Taylors (among others) and neither of those guitars sounded as good as the Collectors does.
