Location: Caribou, ME | The foil label has already been peeled and reattached upside down (no idea why). It looks like it will pull up easily.
I have a 1111-6 with no serial number that was made somewhere between '74-'79. The temptation is to reattach the sacrificed s/n onto that but it's unethical. |

Location: Ontario Canada | Hello ksdaddy,
The winters are long up in Maine, you might be able to find a nice quarter cut piece of Spruce at the local lumber yard like I did about a year ago.
It was a 2x10 about four feet long, I couldn't believe my luck. Price was right for a pensioner's hip pocket too. I put it through the band saw and got eight pieces out of it. My son has it stickered and stacked with some rocks to prevent twisting. You will make a beautiful top someday for this deserving Ovation orphan.
Regards
Jim. |

Just say that the guitar needed a lot of parts replaced - lots of vintage race cars where the only original part left on them is the VIN so it should be OK to do that with guitars as well..lol |
