Or they might be making brand new old ones for you to swindle people with.
Cuz the headstock on that Magnum has a coupla chips out of it. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | Zero feedback, the headstock on the Magnum is obviously used, not likely to be a Relic model, not sure what has happened to the Viper. Good money probably says the description in the listing is either bogus or inaccurate. Click and run. |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | If you do a search of DHGate.com, you will find that they are a warehouse supply clearing house... Much like eBay or Bonanzle or whomever. You will also find eBay sellers who bought stuff and shipped it off to people only to discover that they are fake.
A quick search found people complaining about golf clubs and iPhones.
So apparently there are people in China who will make anything that they can. I have seen advertisements for Chinese factories that will make any guitar according to you design... OR! I you would like, they will make you Gibsons, Fenders, PRS... Whatever floats your boat.
I guess they haven't managed to copy Viper pick-ups... Or there isn't enough demand for them for their Korean suppliers to manufacture them. So people will say that they switched them out, or just assume that many people don't know any better.
So yeah... They might make 'em Road Worn.
It is hard to sell a Brand New guitar that hasn't been made for thirty years. |

The picture they stole just happens to have the Carvin pickups.
Hmmm, I've got a cracked Viper pickguard and some Carvin Holdsworth pickups- might be good! |

tell us what the difference is between these copy models are and the ones that ovation makes.

Major companies have been fighting this for years and yet still open up plants in China for the cheap labor. This will continue until the Chinese people demand a higher standard of living and the costs of labor and materials will go up. Then the big corps will find another country to exploit so we can sell clock radios at Wallmart for $5.99.

Location: Ohio | I got a few Copy Gibson LP's and they are pretty damn close. The new ones look even better. The Guitarist for my band plays one for his #1 stage GTR (rebuilt of course)and you can't tell the difference. He got a silver burst custom and it's sweet been playing it for 3+ years now 4-10 shows a month and its been great. He has a firebird V and an SG STD but he likes the china LP better.... |
