So, now there's an FD-14 in the contest, and, if you look closely, you can see a genuine, authentic, no-foolin' bona fide OFCII in the background. It provided the backing track for this one.
So, really, with Dobro's two Ovations, and mine, that makes FOUR that are out there and on display in the contest! I think it's really two O's and two A's.
Let's get some more out there! |

If that M.C. Escher painting of the crazy staircase had a soundtrack, it'd have to sound like Tropical Breezes.
Or maybe it's what a Hawaiian Guitar Center would sound like.
You really have to concentrate to catch all the layers.
Kinda like watching an episode of "LOST". |

Turns out that I want to trade it in for the same thing, only in a wide-neck. I keep trying to talk Dave (Gallerinski) into some arrangement to purchase his, but no luck! |

Location: Newington, CT | Many thanks, Dobro for your very kind words! As you probably know, I don't do "songs" per se; they're more like "soundscapes," or "textures," or "meditations," to put a charitable spin on them.
They're all one take, and the leads are made up on the spot. Since I'm not part of any group or ensemble, I have to play all the parts myself, and that makes what I do both hard to reproduce, and lacking in polish and structure.
What I'm lacking there, I try to make up for in spontaneity. However, that's the MAJOR characteristic of my offerings. Every time. Kind of limiting, but I try to make the best of limited resources!
Your compositions, on the other hand, are REAL compositions, with coherence, direction, polish, REAL themes, that you develop and bring to great conclusions, AND spontaneity. Just my very humble opinion, but you do really wonderful music, and you should be recognized for it.
Your "Guitarfire" is at or near the top now in the contest. And deservedly so!
