Hi Everyone:

I am the glad new owner of an Adamas 1581. Its serial number is: 222XX. It is black, has a cutaway and an FET pick-up. I'm aware that there was a 30th Anniversary edition made. The label simply says, "1581". The serial number is at the back of the headstock. There is no mention of "30th Anniversary" on the guitar or in the case.

I very happy with it. It has incredible projection and a sophisticated bass edge.

Does anyone have or know of these?

Thanks,
Jeff

I have one as well. The 30th Anniversary models were offered in 2005 in a single bass side epaulet configuration. My serial number starts with 212XX.

Hi:

Thanks. Mine has a bass and treble epaulet configuration. Is that weird?

I don't know, but the 1581 model remains in current production with double epaulets. Perhaps yours is a standard production model.

I notice that the current production model continues to be referred to as the 30th Anniversary model. Here's a link to an interview with Rick Hall from early 2005 describing the limited edition 30th Anniversary models.

I tripped across one in a music store over this past weekend. VERY nice guitar.

I have no idea ... I never thought to ask. It's brand new so it'll be much closer to MSRP than fire sale pricing. If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you the name and number of the store.

Thanks Bobbo. But if it's new I'll have to pass on it. I was hoping for a used (maybe consigned) one for less.
