Location: ms | I guess I better chime in since I opened this can of worms. First off I like Al, not long ago when the OFC had it's big split, I spoke with Al by phone. He was very nice, respectful and we had a very good exchange. Some of which I won't repeat because of his privacy, but all good. Maybe I should have handled this off-line but the amount of people who jumped in before I even posted, really got off with me. The bottom line is, I think this was handled wrong per forum etiquette at the least. I see nothing in the rules that say one can't ask whatever they want for a guitar. The wrong info crap is just that, crap. Take a look for yourself as Fletcher did before you say Alan was giving wrong info, he clearly wasn't. It is painfully obvious that the OFC is a shell of what it used to be, partly because of people getting fed up with the control freak aspect of it. My gosh, Miles had to be the voice of reason in this matter, that should say enough. I took alot of heat the day I joined being called a "drive by" when I was really just looking for a guitar. To be honest I enjoy the back and forth w/ members, but treating a new guy this way was just too wrong. BTW why did you pick out TJ, one of the most loyal members of the forum to be drug into this? I'm not sure where Lost Art ends and the OFC begins, but I do know the rules constantly seem to change. Bottom line is Al, you were wrong, be a man and admit it, this has gone on too long already. |

1. I am unaware of any "split" in the OFC or any OFC that people are "getting fed up with." Sorry you have a different view, but the OFC is stronger now than it ever was, having finally gotten back to its roots.
2. Read Stephent28's post above again. |
