Well it's over a week now since this first began, and I was finally able to get her to open her eyes and blink once on request. Then she went back to sleep.

Not a lot of change yet, although she DID stay awake for about a minute yesterday. Today I get to go and have my long awaited elbow surgery, so I'll have the sling on for about three weeks to add to all this. I almost hope it hurts a lot, so i can feel like I'm sharing her pain.

Good luck with the elbow surgery Vince. The last thing your Mom would want is for you to be in pain... so take care of yourself.
