What did you put in it?
How did it work out?

Anyone use an under saddle pickup with a direct line out?

I electrified an 1112. Sliced and diced an OpPro into it.

I had gotten one from somewhere... I don't remember. But it was the normal sized pick up, so it involved some routing out of the saddle channel... it was not easy and I did not do a very good job of it... The mothership cleaned it up (along with some other work that it needed).

I electrified a TC012 Trekker with an OP11 and an Artec PP607 undersaddle pickup.

Or you could just get an undersaddle p'up and an endpin jack to use an external preamp/EQ

I haven't used one of these Natural 1 systems yet.
I was gonna put this in a Morgan Monroe.
But I do know that the Artec p'ups are interchangeable with the standard Ovation thinlines.

There's a million aftermarket pups out there.
I like the Schattens that Temp sells.
Even if they are Canadian and have the blood of seal pups on them.

Is there a stereo under saddle piezo? Does anyone know what the factory charges for old stereo FET preamps?

Sure wish you'd come by and stir the pot more often, Schroeder.
I just used a Bill Lawrence sound hole pickup. It worked pretty good, except for the part where I said it would keep me from needing to buy any A/E Ovation.

1976: Just before trading for a 1615-4, I used a Bill Lawrence spring clip pup in my 1115-4 on several gigs...good sound but the (short) cord hanging out of the sound hole was a drag...got the 1615 and never looked back...

Shut up! If everybody knows the secret as to why they sound so good, the cost of dead seal pups is going to go way up......

Maybe they could use the dead seal pups for stem cell research.

The Canadian KFC's have dead seal pups on the menu...the 8 piece "Bucket-O'-Pups", but they come with those really gross mash potatoes.

Seal brand pickups would be a cool brand name.

Fishman SuperNatural undersaddle pickup on an original 1971 Balladeer acoustic, going direct to Roland AC-60 amp, or Peavey Ecoustic, depending on size of venue. Volume and tone controlled by amp. Only alteration to guitar is 1/4" jack in the bout. Sounds heavenly...

Do you have a K&K under-saddle that would fit in a 1115 without modifying the slot? (other than drilling a hole for the wire of course.)

There sure are a lot less Possum's around this year...

Look at the Artec Piezos on Ebay. They'll connect to just about everything.

Buy an Idea kit and you can install now and swap out later for an OP Pro or studio later.
