Sure you can watch movies on it, but why do that when you just bought that big screen? Sure you can listen to music on it, but you just spent $10,000 on your media room. Sure you can have all these effects on your iphone, but are you really going to take your hands off your guitar to punch the little buttons? Of course, I don't use the electric guitars, pedal board or effects amp that I have.

If your caring a guitar around, why not just bring your little micro cube amp, which is cool, battery operated or plug in and the sounds are great along with the effects. Besides how long will the battery in the phone last after using it for a while. Just my humble thoughts.

On my iPhone I have Chordmaster (a huge chord book, many positions for each chord), Cleartune (a good little tuner), TapTempo (you tap along to a song and it tells you how many beats per minute), Amazing Slow Downer (you can play songs on your iPhone at a lower speed without the pitch changing, so you can play along) and the Tabs application, which accesses guitar tabs on the internet. ![]() Joined: August 2005 Posts: 3736 Location: Sunshine State, Australia | Thanks Richard. How do I know which tuner is better? I thought that would be obvious. Tune the guitar to the OP Pro and it sounds out of tune. Tune the guitar to the iPod (ProTune - about $14) and it sounds in tune. Only downside to the iPod tuner is you can't use it if everyone around you is also tuning or practicing or just chinwaggin'. I DO have a problem - if a guitar is even a LITTLE bit out of tune, mine or anybody's, it drives me NUTS.
