Get off your keysters and come to Hubers open mic Friday the 4th.
Bring your guitar, get up there and play something... anything.

Nice guys. I wish I could have been there. I see Brian still plays guitars with price tags on. Anybody rush the stage?

They just give Brian anything to play. Heck he could play a broomstick with some 12 test monofilament stretched from end to end.

The Martin rep was there for a little dog & pony show.
Brian played one of their new models.

Lately I have been in the habit of playing whatever guitars the music store owner puts up on the stage. This time the Martin Rep was there and he brought one of the new "PERFORMING ARTIST SERIES", I think this model was a GPCPA4.
I figured I would help the guy out and play the model he was demo'ing. It was a pretty decent low end Matin, built in tuner which is kinda of inovative for Martin, all solid woods, list price around $1500, I am sure you could bring it home for much less. The plugged in tone didnt really wow me though, sounded like so many other piezo pickup guitars.

I feel kinda funny bringing my own guitar into an open mic at a music store. After all the guy is hosting the event to sell his guitars. It's also a great chance to sample some of the great instuments out there.

If you are in SE Michigan Huber Breese is a first rate store with a huge selection, and Paul Huber is a first rate guy to do business with.

Nice job guys. I am thinking it is time for another.

BITTER COLD JAM II, The sequel...

You guys are inspiring. Twistedlim and I bumped into each other seeing Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt
(another great acoustic Guitar Duo). Hopefully we can all get together soon and make some music.
