Location: san jose, ca | Ran across a 1681-S with a 2 digit SN.
Doesn't jive with the spreadsheets on the site here. Plays pretty nice, a bit out of my price range but I might consider it if it's a good deal... under a grand.
Any thoughts on why an Adamas II would have a 2 digit serial number?

Location: Tennessee | Is it black? Maybe it's really a 1681-5 and someone's reading it slightly wrong? And, what someone thinks is a two digit s/n may be looking at the fundamental frequency, if they did that to the II's. Is it by chance around 93? I'm just thinking out loud here ... |

Location: san jose, ca | Could be a 1681-5. Looking through the little holes among the leaves is tricky for old eyes like mine. The SN was in the middle of the inner label, just under the part number. Same place as on my Ultra.
Probably ought go back and take a picture of it,no?

Location: san jose, ca | Thanks to all. The guitar sounds nice but is very 'worn'. It is that black fiber top; played hard, put away wet if ya know what I mean.
Decisions, decisions. i am sure all of you have gone through this.

Location: san jose, ca | of course it's that one. I am still thinking...
My '85 Ultra really can't be set up correctly, so I am still looking for a good first guitar.
So far, the nicest I have found is a nice new Tak at GS. Running through my set of learned chords, it is the one that feels right and makes the chords sound clean. Not giving up on the Ultra though, it looks good and someday I will figure out how to make it sing.
