Not sure why I'm feeling so melon-collie, but as the joy of the holidays unfurls itself all around us I can't help but stop and think of all those that are no longer with us ...

It's been a difficult year for many. Some of it very public, some of it very private. For the last few days this 45 year old tune has been running through my head so I sat down and did a quick-n-dirty recording (please excuse the rough edges).

Although not a christmas or holiday tune in the traditional sense it some how just seemed appropriate...

Happy holidays and best wishes.

Dave

Very nice, Dave. Don't hear that one very often but it really does seem to fit. Thanks.

A safe and healthy holiday season and a prosperous New Year to all.

Great job, Dave. I think the only thing I've previously heard from you is "I don't want crap for Christmas" (which was very good btw)so it's nice to hear a real serious recording. Uhhh....do more.

Damn Dave... that was really nice. That kinda song is right in your wheelhouse.
I wish you recorded more often.
.
Was that one take or double tracked?

C'mon Brad. there was harmony. Dave can either sing out of two different orifices or it was double tracked.

Donovan.

One take, then went back and added a single note organ pad. Wasn't looking for recording excellence, more wanted to just catch the emotion.

Yes... you did indeed catch that.
.
Donovan / Dylan.... 210/220... whatever it takes.
.
I am a tad embarrassed tho. Such a flower child as myself should know better.
