Two (!!) American Standard Teles - an '09 and a '10, plus a bunch of pickups and various other parts and pieces that I'm gonna use to perform a couple of dream mods on them.

BUT...

I have to admit that I'm most pleased with the three volume hardcover edition of The Complete Calvin and Hobbes and the 24 DVD set of Warner Bros. Looney Tunes.

Most of us would be happy getting a Moody strap for Christmas... but what's the chance of getting one for Hanukkah and an identical one for Christmas, just a few weeks later?

Being a Danish Jew with the name Christensen worked out well.

There once was a man from Thermopylae
Who alienated himself from the OFC
Others weren't without fault
Rooubishe led the assault
Now the guy's changed his name to "Come and Get It"

I'd say it's a New Year
Out with the Old, and in with New Gear
But did the guy show up with ah thousand NATO rounds...
Looking for battlegrounds?

thanks for the compliment?, schroeder :)

You can see why I wrote software for a living and not songs.

my reference to NATO rounds... ammunition adopted by NATO as a standard for use among its peacekeeping forces (surely a more accurate definition is out there)... the 9mm is a NATO handgun bullet, MolonLabe's 5.56x45mm is better known as a 5.56 NATO rifle bullet. NATO has a whole database of adopted ammunition (small to real big) along with detailed specifications for each one.

We've been Metric here for a long time... we just prefer to keep doing it the hard way.

And, after all that I blew it.

It's "hellenistic" milieu...not "helvetican."

Helvetican means swiss...

Oops.

I've heard the Spartans were frequently pestered by the Swiss Guard when the Pope was passing through...

SWMBO got me an iDea CC54iPL (Black) w/OHSC for Christmas. Not quite the Adamas I've been wanting for years, but with a new baby and the hunt on for a new house, I was pleased to get anything at all! Sounds like your typical Celebrity model, but plays quite well right out of the box. I'm looking forward to fooling around with the MP3 recorder when I finally get some "me time"...

Congrats, Joe!

So, delicate question here: did you mean fiancé or fiancée? Not that there's anything wrong with either one, but there IS quite a difference...
Ah! The latter. LOL. I'm the fiancé! She's the fiancée. And thanks for the congrats!

"….NATO rounds"…

… for a second I thought wooden roundbacks were coming back.

" Nato wood is a collective name for wood from Mora trees. The best-known species are Mora excelsa (Mora) and Mora gonggrijpii (Morabukea), with the latter contributing less (occurring in a smaller area).
The wood may vary in appearance, with reddish brown being the dominant color, but in varying shades and often with darker or lighter streaks. The wood is dense and not particularly pleasant; it is not very easy to dry or to work. However, the wood is available in large dimensions and is well above average in properties such as resistance to wear, strength and durability. It finishes well. It is used for heavy construction, industrial flooring, railroad ties, etc. Smaller billets are used to build acoustic and electric guitars.
Because of its availability and price, many Chinese and Korean imported guitars use nato in their inexpensive guitars. BC Rich guitars,[1] Eastwood guitars[2] and others manufacturers often refer to nato as "eastern mahogany" due to the use of the more expensive mahogany wood in higher grade instruments"
