Location: On the road - Europe | Hello folks, it's not true..... still alive but sadly the web site is not. A few changes in my life and amongst the confusion the URL was lost. Maybe when I am more settled I will manage to get it uo again, if you pardon the expression.
For the past six months of so I have been travelling europe in a motorhome and am currently about as far south as possible on the Portugal/Spain border - a little spot called Vila Real. I have a vintage 8m US motorhome, 21 years young, a fine beast on a 7.3l Ford with just 20 000 miles on her clock.
Travelling solo so plenty of time for reading, mouching and guitar playing.
Life is pretty good.
Hope to keep in touch more.
Best regards to all.

BTW... what's diesel fuel going for in Europe these days? It's running around $3.50 US gal here.
That 7.3 Powerstroke can't be very thrifty, eh! |

Location: On the road - Europe | Yep, that is quite an engine - chugs along very nicely between garage stops! 14 mpg on a very good day (average actually 13.5). Diesal, embarassed to say what we pay for fuel - 1.20 euro a litre which if I dare do the calcuation is around £5.50 per UK gallon.
I don't travel very far very quickly, 2000 in the past 6 months, through France, Sapin and Portugal, staying put and limiting myself to a coupole of tanks per month.
I'll be in touch Woody to catch up. |
