Location: Michigan | Went to see the great Lyle Lovett and John Haitt last night in Ann Arbor MI. Walked into the lobby and there stood (not hard to see sticking out above the crowd) was our good friend Bob aka rhoadsscholar and Christine. You can't miss him and just in case you do there is always Christine with her pretty smile to confirm the couple. Anyway great to see them and looking forward to the next Michigan gathering. PS the show was great, how did I miss John Haitt for so long? |

Location: Bluffton, SC | I've seen Lovett several times (with his small crew and with the Large Band) and he's always great. Hiatt's an institution and should never be missed so that HAD to be a great show. |

Location: Michigan | Forgot to mention Jeff Daniels set in for a couple of songs. He suprised me. Played well and plesant voice. The song he wrote was pretty darn good also. He had a fun little jam with John at the end and Lyle playing the chords between the 2. John would play a song, then lyle...back and forth with some fun banter in between. Just 2 guys and 2 guitars...pretty cool stuff.
John had to be using 13s or 14s. He plays hard and strong....beastly man. |

Location: chicago | A Family member of mine used to back him up a fella by the name of Tim Easton, anyways John thought he was so good he backed him on a tour a couple of years back.that got me backstage and the best seats in the house, very strange to feel you had an inside connection thats never to me.
John had this thing were he hit something on the floor to assimilate a bass drum....very cool. |
