I don't see us playing that out in public again in the forseable future. We'll practice it just because it's a good exercise but that's about it.
.
Damon... I'll check out your link when I get home.

I listened to about 6 different versions of the song and came to the conclusion that... I just don't care for the song, (although the American Idol dude did do a nice job with it).

I listened to all the posted versions yesterday, but kept thinking I had heard a better version. Thanks, Damon. Brandi did the version I like the best. She has one of the best voices out there, in my opinion.

if you listen to the lyrics literally

the fourth, the fifth, a minor fall, a major lift

the song does NOT follow that progression

And a very nice version it is. You've been practicing. Nicely done and much easier to watch than the topless videos.

We missed one--Justin Timberlake's rendition at the Hope for Haiti concert just after the earthquake. I thought he did a nice job, especially for something that was probably out of his comfort zone.

Jeff Buckley gets my vote.

I was once at a bar in Worcester, MA with some one-man band kid playing covers. This was right after Jeff Buckley passed, BTW. He starts launching into Buckley's version (had a beat up old Fender Jassmaster and everything) when someone from the audience yelled out "Don't you even think about it!", and the kid stopped abruptly...

I love the Bon Jovi's Version :) John's vocals really shine on this song.
