Pez, you've probably already seen this, but in case you didn't, Kaki has torn a tendon in her right arm and is canceling concerts. I'm still hoping she'll play the April 7th show.

News release, Kaki injured

It happened on Thursday in Minneapolis in baggage claim of the airport. It was kind of a freak accident--she was pushing a baggage cart, and one of the bags began to fall off and she grabbed the handle. I guess the angle was wrong, because she suffered a small tear of her biceps tendon just above her right elbow.

She called us from the hospital and was very worried that she might have broken something, because she said she had a lot of pain above and below the elbow. After x-rays ruled out a break, the doctor used ultrasound to see the torn tendon, and put her in the fiberglass brace that you see in the picture above.

She's had to cancel the next few shows, much to her dismay because some of them were sold out. Of course full recovery from the injury trumps everything else at this point.

When the situation changes, I'll make a separate post.

Best to all--

Dave King

Dave, thanks for the info. Sounds like a pretty unlikely kind of thing to happen. This kind of injury could take several months to heal - I hope she follows doctor's orders rather than push things too soon. We fans can wait.

Dang! You'd think she would have someone that does all that stuff for her. Bet she will from now on.

Not to be a buzz kill but a torn tendon is worse that a bone break.
Hope she does well.

that's why you get Caltons and just let them fall where they may.
