Location: Jet City | As many of you know my UKII went to see Mother because I managed to crack the headstock at the neck. It was traumatic for me being that I bought it new 30 years ago. As far as possessions go, it has more sentimental value than any other, even the Mosrite.
They did a bang up job! Was it not for a very faint hint that you can only see under microscopic conditions (or a close-up macro shot like below), you'd never know.
They even filled a nick (3rd pic) I had on the neck, and refinished the whole thing.
John said that he had them refinish it twice just because he wanted it perfect. I think they accomplished the goal. The burst looks just like it did before.
I also think it was a nice touch putting a brand shiny new brass nut on there.
Thanks guys!

Congratulations to all the guys at Ovation - both for the original design and the restoration.
Looks good to go for at least another 30 years. |

| You'd have to know and really look hard to find that repair. Great work by the wizards, as always, and a happy ending. |
