ideal strap width?

Joined: July 2004 Posts: 147 Location: liverpool ,england | what do most of you guys go for normal ie 2.5" or the wider width for comfort the reason i am asking is i've seen a strap i like and its 4" wide black extra soft leather but its says for base guitar just want some info before i buy one cheers in advance | ||

I don't really believe that some are made for "bass" and some for "guitar". They all do the same thing. | ||
