Location: Gig Harbor, Washington | I've got a couple of Tornado projects on my bench that I'm soliciting some template assistance with...
Long story shortened - Kim @ the Mothership suggested I contact Chandler/Pickguard Heaven in CA ( Pickguard Heaven ) to fab' one, though they don't have a template of the original...so here's my request:
Is there a fellow Tornado owner that would consider lending them an original so they can make a template?
Or, second choice: Is there a fellow T' owner that would take the time to trace a very accurate copy that a template could be fashioned from?
Also - there appears to be at least two different configurations (and possibly on early Thunderheads and/or Eclipses also) where the pick-ups were either 3 & 1/8" apart or 4 & 1/8" apart. I need the 4 & 1/8" version (where the neck pick-up is tucked right up snug to the end of the fretboard). Many thanks for your consideration and/or additional ideas to solve my dilemma! |

There have been some NOS ones available on Ebay.
I bought one a while back I'll check which pg it is.
Send me your email.
I'll scan the one I have if it's the right one

Yep - I bought a couple off eBay, only to then discover there were at least two configurations made...Mine being presumably older ('67) models that had the wider p/u placement.
Thanks for checking! |

Location: Tidal Mudflats of Virginia | Let me know if Pickguard Heaven is successful in duplicating the wider version. I have one but it has no logo on it. I would be interested in adding my name on the list to have one made as well.

Location: Brisbane Australia | Tim, Kurt ended up making his own from a scan I sent him of mine.
If yours is ok and 3 ply construction, just get it engraved.
If you want a copy of the scan let me know.

Location: Upper Left USA | Kurt came over to my house and we traced and cut.
The one on the underside fits his Tornado. I just cut it with the wrong side up so I got to do it again.
