Location: Germany | Hi,
I never tested my Ovation really on an Amp, but now I wanted to try it an got an Issue.
I have no sound output.
Usually it should be muted when the tuner is activated, in the case of my guitar, it's ONLY unmuted when the tuner is on.
So I can play 60 seconds on the Amp, an then the guitar turns off.
Could somebody tell me please how to solve this problem?
Thank You!

Location: Utah | The first thing I would do is take the battery out and press the power button to be sure it is totally discharged. Then I'd wait three minutes and put in a new battery. Try plugging it in it again to see if it works better. It's possible the battery is weak and/or the electronics glitched. |

thanks for your reply.
I tried it, but it didn't helped.
I still only get an output, when the tuner is activated and then plug the cable.
Strange.
Should there be a sign or LED on the OP30 when its plugged in?

kkeller-kmc@kaman.com
Have a little correspondence with him and all your troubles will be over.
(BTW...since KMC no longer exists I wonder how long this email address will exist. ...if it still does.)

In other words, there are two parts to the preamp, the tuner and the normal preamp. Your tuner is properly functioning when you push the tuner button. But the normal preamp is not powering up when you plug in a cable.
So, you could take the access hatch off of the back and try fiddling with the output jack. There may be a contact that is not pressing against the plug when you insert it. I would plug in a cable and then try pressing on the bits and pieces of the jack from the inside of the guitar. |

That will let you know if the pre-amp is on, and that you have some battery.
But like you said, it shouldn't be transmitting sound while the tuner is on.
So maybe, like Fly said, it is not sensing the plug going in.
So... as they say in the guvvinment... I haven't a Clue! |

I had the same trouble with my T until I used a regular cable. I was using one that has 3 points of contact, (cannot remember what they are called, not a stero cable, TWR??).
Try a plain regular guitar cable, fixed my problem. |
