I've always enjoyed his sax solo on "Jungleland".

RIP in Big man.

His sax playing was signature. He played that thing like a weapon.

One of a kind.

Saw him live with Springsteen at the Hampton Coliseum in 1975...4 hour concert w/no breaks...he was incredible! Sadly missed but the band above has a great lead sax now! Never Forgotten!

Absolutely! I saw Clarence play w/BS & the ESB many times, but those '70's shows were the best. I never felt like any of the live videos nor live recordings from that period really captured the energy of those shows; over four hours long, with one song right after another, Clarence blasting out those scorching sax solos, dancing along the whole time… Last time we saw them (a couple of years ago) Clarence sat on a barstool through the entire show, and he looked uncharacteristically uncomfortable. :(

The Big Man left the Band, but he left us with great memories and a ton of great music… Thanks Clarence, RIP…
