What guitar/model do you play?

There are no Applause lefties?
There are a couple of Celebs.
Very few O's or A's.

Did you buy a lefty or modify a righty (which kinda makes having a cutout harder...)?

So what do you play out there?

My only Ovation is a '78 Pacemaker 12-string that I bought used in the early '80s. It is a factory lefty, not a modified righty. You should have been trying to find lefties, and lefty, back then.

My first guitar was a righty classical that I just reversed the strings on. That was back before I knew any better. I wanted a factory steel string acoustic lefty.

Went to a warehouse type store with well over a hundred used guitars hanging on the wall. TWO were lefties, my Pacemaker and a 6-string of which I can't recall the make. The finish on the 6-string looked cheap to me so I bought the Pacemaker.

The only guitar I've purchased since then was in 2007. Not an Ovation but a true lefty.

Great question Mitz.
I have an Ovation L778 Elite I bought new.
A Seagull 12 string I purchased off Ebarf. (Long story on that one, but it sounds great)
An Epiphone PR-5EL purchased new. (sounds good plugged in but crappy otherwise.
Just purchased a Blueridge BR-40. I love my Ovation which I have had for 5 years now, but of all the guitars the Blueridge has the best sound.
I also have an Eppiphone Les Paul electric.
I do have 4 or 5 right handed guitars I keep around for visitors both acoustic and electric. Most of which have been restrung to lefty at one time or another, but that is like kissing your sister. They are all strung back to right handed at the moment.
I look forward to hearing the other replys as this topic has great interest to me.

I saw an older left-handed Celebrity at a pawn shop...
looked like a left-handed version of this one:

Thought about picking it up and coverting to a righty:
changing nut would be no problem,
but changing the bridge and saddle might be a challenge!

There's a lefty Classical on SF CL that looks good and at a good price:

Also a 12-string, but it's a righty conversion.

I'm not a south paw, but here's a nice 1719 lefty on Ebay:

I've got a much easier solution for you than having to kill someone. Give Al a call and get a quote on a custom order! If that doesn't work out, then proceed on with the original plan by all means!

Also, man this is an old thread you managed to dig up...
