Location: Long Island, N.Y. | Hi Alison and Guitsome, i picked up an 1983 1669 with non orig.case for $450 in manhatten yesterday. It is a dark brown burst. the guy played it everyday since `84. it has some dings on the top (small) and a couple small scratches. I`ve been cleaning it for 2 days. the guitar sounds great and even better plugged in.stays in tune rock solid no need for neck adjustment.slightly deeper V neck than my 82 1619 i had sold. I lucked out! oh, by the way it has the plastic piece in the cutaway like the one you had alison.
it for sure is a players guitar non the less, a real fine one at that. No top cracks at all.neck and fret board are clean. it needs a new vol./tone stack pot and knob. it works as of now but would like to see if anyone here can find me an original. I would like to post some pictures but dont know how?? |
