I've got an Elite 1768-C, 1993. It's OP-24, deep bowl cutaway. I'm the original owner. Excellent condition (3rd fret has a wee bit of pinky finger nail wear), but there are no knicks dings scratches cracks splits rubs or bulges. Original Ovation hardshell case.

I'm contemplating selling it.

What would you all suggest as a fair market value?

Tx......cool66

Moody's just cheap. I'd pay at least double that.

I'll go $10, even though I don't really need another guitar...

These days "fair market value" doesn't hold the same meaning as a few years ago. Prices have dropped due to A) many people not spending money and 2) many people selling off guitars to acquire money to buy food.
These days the guitar market looks a lot like the housing market... flooded and undervalued, with few shoppers.

Pick the number you want, offer it up and see who bites.
No bites, lower the number till it's not worth it to you to let it go and wait till things improve.

I'll go $20.
But I admit I'm only interested in flipping it for $40.

What is this? Obay?

Waskel's telling the truth. I'm truly not sure what the value of your guitar is in this market. Depending on your time frame and funding needs, pick a number you can live with and see what happens. If I were selling it, I would start in the mid-hundreds and see what kind of interest it generates. Hope that helps. Good luck.

I'd watch ebay for similar instruments to see what they are listed at and what they sell for.

I don't know about a sale price without knowing the actual condition of the guitar, but I DO know that nosajwp in the for sale section is interested in a trade for his 2005 Collector's guitar. That would be a great trade value if you were interested.
