| This song is one of my favorite classics by Jim Croce and others such as "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and "Don't mess around with Jim" where I have seen videos of him playing and it looks as though he
and the guy who did an accoustic lead to those songs played an ovation of some kind.
Anybody know if Time in a bottle was done with an ovation also? The video I have seen of that song only shows a bunch of Jim Croce home movies..... |

What I found interesting, was that he explained how he came to write the song.
By the way...all you ovation geeks....what are the two ovation models they are playing in the video?

Location: Boise, Idaho | I haven't watched my dvd in awhile, but I think they played Legends and Martins live. There is no video of Time or I'll Have to Say on the dvd. Croce also has another guitar in many of his pictures, but I can't remember what it is. He did one or two songs with alternate tunings, so he might have had the Martin tuned to a drop D for those. I'm pretty sure that Operator is in standard tuning, though.
Stephent28 sent me the most accurate tab of Time that I've seen. |
